Abstract: A melt process for forming fibers from blends of polymers containing a high percentage of vinyl alcohol units with terpolymers of alkyl methacrylates, unsaturated acids, anhydrides or glycidyl-containing esters, and N-vinyllactams or N-vinylamides is described.
