Process for fixing dyes

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for fixing dyes on organic material, which comprises fixing dyes containing at least one polymerizable double bond or at least one polymerizable ring system, excluding water-soluble dyes which carry acrylamido or methacrylamido groups, together with at least one substantially colorless compound which contains at least one polymerizable double bond, by subjecting said organic material, which has a residual moisture content of less than 20%, based on the treated material, to ionizing radiation.
