Detergent compositions for gasoline-type fuels that contain polytetrahydrofuran derivatives

Abstract: Detergent additive compositions for gasoline-type fuels comprise at least one compound that corresponds to the general formula: ##STR1## in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 each represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon radical, for example alkyl, with 1 to 30 carbon atoms, whereby at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is a hydrocarbon radical, n is a number from 1 to 20, m and m' are each a number from 1 to 30, with m+m' from 4 to 60. They can be added to gasoline-type fuels at a concentration of 20 to 5000 mg/liter.
